There is a lot of wisdom to be learned from people, especially when alcohol is flowing freely. So, it should come as no surprise that when someone mixed three types of whiskey, they named the concoction Three Wise Men. The inspiration was probably the biblical story of the Three Wise Men who visit baby Jesus.
To keep in line with the story, this cocktail requires whiskies named after men – Johnnie Walker, Jack Daniel’s, and Jim Beam – the three wise men, of course. There is not much inventiveness in the composition of the cocktail, but still, the name is quite interesting.
It is a simple cocktail, with no need for much fuss. To make it, you will need one shot glass and:
- 0.75 oz Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey
- 0.75 oz Jim Beam bourbon whiskey
- 0.75 oz Johnnie Walker scotch whiskey
Just pour all the whiskies in a shot glass and serve. Alternately, you can add all three whiskies in an old-fashioned glass, add ice and sip it.
