Trust me, all the fans of How I Met Your Mother have heard about this cocktail. But for those of you that don’t know what we are talking about, here is an explanation…
Robin Scherbatsky is one of the main characters in the story, and she is one of the regulars at the McClaren’s Pub (here’s the real pub the show is based on), the central meeting place in the series. She ordered this cocktail on almost every visit, so the Pub named it after her name.
The ingredients are all towards the sweet side – coconut rum, peach schnapps, vanilla vodka, strawberry crème liqueur, cranberry juice, sugar, and maraschino cherries. All of these are blended together and served with a straw.
This cocktail is in no way a craft cocktail; plus, due to the amount of sugar in the blend, the drinker would go into a sugar coma after a few of these. Still, for the sake of fun and in a game of recreating famous cocktails featured in movies and TV, it is worth trying it at least once.
How To Make The Robin Scherbatsky Cocktail
For the curious ones, here is the complete recipe for the Robin Scherbatsky Cocktail:
- ½ shot coconut rum
- 1 shot peach schnapps
- Splash of vanilla vodka
- 1 shot strawberry crème liqueur
- Splash of cranberry juice
- 5 tablespoons sugar
- A handful of maraschino cherries
